To all Turbo Guru's

I happen to get a turbo from a 3406C Cat engine that was rated a 325 hp. It came out of a 980 Wheel Loader, non-waste gated. I think that the 3406 is near the same displacment of the 855 ci Cummins. I was told the the HT3B that some people use is from the 855. I was thinking of using it in a twin set up on my truck. I can't tell who makes the turbo, it just says Cat on it.

Anyone have any thoughts on using this turbo?

Thanks

Re:To all Turbo Guru's

mac1, I don't have a turbo (except stock), but I wanted to comment on your hometown.

All my friends here (USAF adrenaline junkies) tell me that I need to go to Nanaimo, BC and check out "Bungee Zone".

They say it's the best.

It's only a 10 hour drive from my house I believe. Maybe I'll take the Truck up there some day and jump off that there bridge... What do you think? Have you been there yet?

[move]Just waving a hand at you there in BC. [/move]

Cheers

Ya, the Bungee Zone is a great place to "fall of a bridge". It is placed over a fairly narrow river. I have never jumped there but I know lots of people have. I think they have a web site, I'll check it out for you.

Here is the website: www.bungyzone.com/

Re:To all Turbo Guru's

Hey DodgeMan01 that turbo you have is a fairly old and rare creature. According to our parts guy it is from a mid 70's 16G Cat MotorGrader with a 343 Cat engine, inline 6. The 343 is a 800+ci displacment engine. You might check with a Cat dealership and see if they want to buy it.

Re:To all Turbo Guru's

Sense it is so old I don't think it will be worth too much, but did he say if it might be?
Thanks for the info.
DM01
