I am ready to go pick up my wheel sets but still have not comitted to how much lift I need to clear the wheels. Are the leveling kits sufficient?? I am going to use 255 or 235's but I am not sure what the outer diameter will be. T Rex has the coils and shocks for $350 which is 2.5 inches. Also, does the ride suck with the big wheels???

Yeah, it's not me. I can barely afford to fuel my truck, let alone put $3,000 in shoes on it!

Those are D-hlaw's. I imagine they are very hard on the brakes.

If you do any serious towing the wheels sets are worthless. Too much unsprung weght, they are almost impossible to balance out and they make your gear ratio waaayy too tall. I pull 8000lb race boats with mine and it had a hard time getting the boat up the ramp except in low 4 wheel..... not good. As for show and go, they look great and really turn heads.

I haven't had a chance to tow with the wheels yet....I tow a 10,000 toy hauler so I am a little concerned. Though acceleration doesn't seem near as affected as the braking. And yes, balancing is an issue; Equal packets don't seem to be working. But I get A LOT of attention with it.

They ballance them using some stuff inside the tire...it hasn't worked for me. As far as tire life, they are supposed to last about 200K. So they pay for themselves over the life of the tires.

Guys, They look great but you need some gearing mods to help out... If you have 3.73 you have real problems.... 4.10 are probably bearable. What works great with this diameter tire, 4.56 I've heard. If you have 4.10 and got a gear reducer (were on sale at Scheids a couple mos ago) you'd be happy. With an exhaust brake the braking would be acceptable as those wheels are HEAVY. How is the ride on broken pavement? ks
