Air box question.....

I had my straight pipe put on today and while I was removing my silencer ring I noticed that my air box seemed to be not connected right.Where the box meets the inlet in the fender area the foam like material was showing.I could lift and pull on the box and get it closer to the inlet but it did not seem to be lose.Is this normal or should I get it seen about? There did not seem to be any bugs or anything in the box but I wanted to check with you guys before I make a trip to the dealer. Also I have noticed a oil smell in the air vents when the truck is not moving and when I open the doors.I checked the oil and all of the seals and found nothing. Please tell me it is just burning off some kind of crap that the engines have on them when they are new.Thanks.

Re:Air box question.....

where did you get the straight pipe and are you talking about the restrictive tube going to the turbo or exhaust?

I am looking to remove the section of restrictive tube going to the turbo, what did you use if this is what you changed?

Re:Air box question.....

I just had my muffler removed. It cost me 65$ and I can't get the smile off my face.It is a little louder than I thought it would be but still sounds awsome and you can really hear that turbo whine now. ;D
