After searching for almost five years I finally found a decent crew cab body

This was a complete running Cummins powered 2WD truck last week when it was first advertised on Craigslist. It had an 8 x 12 flatbed with a fifth wheel adapter built into the bed. The frame is stretched 15 inches between the cab and rear end along with 16 inches added to the end of the frame. The overall truck length is just under 24 feet. I could not see buying it with the Cummins because I already have three spare 6BT's on hand along with two Cummins 4WD donor trucks. The plan is to turn it into a W250. The previous owner runs a trucking company and brought it up from Texas in 2005. The body is 99% rust free which makes it somewhat of a rare local find here in Pennsylvania. The previous owner intends on installing the 6BT engine from this truck into Jeep Wagoneer.

wow 5 years you are patient!! and on Crow'slist of all places!!!

Great find!

I've been looking for a while too... are you going to make it a long bed or short bed?

I found one too... low original miles will try to get it soon... what'd you end up paying for the chassis and cab?

We did some trading in the deal. He gets the rear axle back along with the wheels. He was going to scrap the frame so I traded some steel scrap and an International Scout frame that he can use. So I basically have a tad over 2000 in the complete cab with the interior and the front end assembly. I figured it wasn't a bad deal if you factor in what it would cost to have one hauled from TX to here in PA.

I haven't decided on the bed length yet. I have a good 6' one so I leaning in that direction. It doesn't have the LE molding. I have an 8' with the LE trim but it's starting to rust through above the wheel wells.

Wow. That's a LONG truck. What are you gonna do for a bed? Think you could combine two beds into one stock-looking bed thats 12' long? That'd be interesting.

I pondered that thought but I think the quickest and easiest way is to go back to a standard pick up bed.

Anyone have a NAPA number for the plastic clips that hold the upper side moldings on?
