adjusting valves

I got the procedure to set my valves, have the snap-on barring tool, but have a couple of questions. When you are barring the engine to find TDC do you turn the engine CCW or CW when you are facing the engine? And after doing your first set of valves when turning 360 degrees which way do you turn the engine? Thanks

You always rotate the engine in the same direction that it runs.

The engine turns CW, the barring gear would be CCW. You are also rotating the engine one full revolution, so direction has no effect on the destination.

It doesn't matter which way you turn the engine to TDC of #1 or #6. Once you find it I recommend you mark the damper. One full turn will give you TDC again to chech the other 6 valves.
