Abs?

Hello, I noticed that the ABS light does not come on when I start my truck. is this normal for a dually? the brakes seem to work fine just no ABS. I checked the fuse for the ABS and it was good so where should I look? I should mention that I have owned the truck for only a few months and that the previous owner took great records of everything done to the vehicle.

Thanks

Probably a bulb. It should come on when there is an issue. Not stay off.

Yeah, probably be my luck that the bulb burned out because it was on all the time. I will look at the sensor and try and do a little more trouble shooting. I will let you all know what I find out. Please keep the Ideas rolling in.

Every time you turn you key to ON its basically a 2-3 second bulb test for the console.

On 2000 and up you can hold the TRIP button down and turn the ignition key to ON the release the TRIP button. This will start a diagnostic of the console. Odometer test, bulb test, and guage test.

So if the bulb isn't lighting up then it burnt out! Time to chnage the bulb...

You can also check the fuses (under the hood and in the cab)
