33 mpg

it can be done. with whats in my sig im getting 33 mpg. i was only getting 28 on average then installed ddp 2 injectors and found a cheap tonneau cover n craigslist and it uped me 5 mpg. thats wth me not driving below 70 and some city. also when i tow i can get 20 mpg with a 40' kaufman 5th. it helps out great since i lie in baltimore and work in philadlephia 110miles

Sorry crabbelle but I don't believe you. You're saying that you're getting over twice the distance with your tank than I am+ 6mpg better mileage towing than I do on steady highway...

Trusting the overhead computer?

Please post up how many gallons used over how many accurate miles clocked.

I agree were all looking to increase mpgs....don't forget the "tire size" adjustment in the calculation as most of us don't have the exact factory tire sizes.

i went 1980 miles on 60 gals. i have an 8 speed tranny i never see over 2K rpms i have a lowered front bumper to cut down drag 2wd truck tonneu cover and use my head when driving. (throttle down hill coast up hill) 235-85-16's and every once in a while convince a semi to let me draft him. any other ?'s to help you guys.

also hand calculated truck didnt come with over head computer. will be willing to take anybody for a ride

Sounds like that might work. Your using your head. 8 spd tranny? I once looked into an overdrive gear box. It was way too expensive. It would take 5 years to pay out. How long did it, or will it, take to pay for your upgrades.

i couldnt tell you it came with the truck when i bought it (found it on craigslist for 4500)

Sweet. If you put some duct tape on some of the intake holes there on the front it might pass for a Craftmen truck series racetruck.
