2002 Hubcap / Wheel Cover

It seems like my hubcap has disapeared; i would like to believe it fell off somewhere but i have a hard time believing that, the other 3 seem very tight. Anyways, suggestions on finding a replacement? I checked the junkyards and all of the 3/4 tons were missing hubcaps. I keep checking ebay and Mopar Wholesale but no luck. Can these things actually just fall off or did someone see dollar signs?

You'd think they'd take them all, not just one.

They "lock" onto the lug nuts, if one of the ones it happens to lock onto was loose, I could see it falling off.

No idea where to find them.
I think mine are safely stored on the side of the garage.

Well I bought a new hubcap from wholesale mopar and put it on two weeks ago; I lost the new one on the same tire as the old one. I have the timeline pinned down and find it very hard to believe that they were stolen; I also drove the route again within two hours of noticing the missing cap and couldn’t find it.

Any ideas on why/how I could loose two hubcaps from the same wheel in a three-week period? Wheel/rim problems? At roughly $70-$80/ea, I want to find the cause other than just bad luck. On the other hand, I believe in keeping the truck up and uniform and don’t having the hubcap missing.

OK fellas here is the answer as I was losing hubcaps faster then I was changing gotch . the last one I bought at dodge I put it on in my garage drove 1 block and saw somthing pass me.....yep new hubcap . Two of the things I do know is when my truck gets a wheel rotation leave the caps off for a week and retorque several times, I have found the lugs loosen up letting the wheel flex to much causing the cap to pop off. lastly once everything is tight apply a rtv silicone or similar to the hub caps where they meet the lug nuts use enough so that when you bang on the hub cap it squishes out the side of the clamps you won't see it being it is covered by the hub cap. Finally try not to drive it for a day to let the silicone set on then drive your heart out has worked for me for over a year ...

I haven't had any problems... when one got damaged, I bought a used generic replacement for about $20 CAD. It doesn't have the Dodge logo, but before I get too picky, I should probably fix my rust spots :P.

A whole new set of the generic ones was about $50-60 CAD, I believe.

I make sure to boot them on with my foot, to make sure they are seated. Never had one come off - they look like they'd stick on quite well. From an inspection perspective, the things suck, since you'd want access to the lugs. to check for looseness/rust staining (sign of looseness).

i got the nut covers from a big rig chrome shop along with the center caps. the nut covers are 15/16 flanged and the center caps are some old stock of air horn covers. the rears just snap over the axle bolt heads and the fronts i fabbed up some brackets and welded them into the front hubs and pop riveted the caps to the brackets. there was alot of r&d involed in the center caps. for the paint i used vht engine paint in semi gloss and it has held up alot better than i expected.
