1st Gen Bumpers now available!
We keep getting requests for 1st Gen bumpers, and now we finally have a line of products for them! We tried to keep the prices affordable, while offering several options. These are our introductory prices that we will most likely keep for several months:
Front Base Bumper $650
-add center section of grille guard $300
-or- add full grille guard $450
-winch ready $175
-1" shackle mounts $40
-light pockets $100 per set
-2" receiver $75
-LED sleeve for 12" or 20" bar $125
Rear Bumper $650
-1" shackle mounts $40
-LED backup light option $175
I'm sorry for the poor pictures. I really only took these for my own reference! Which brings me to my last point - This prototype set will be for sale at a 15% discount. This is the set that we built the tooling from. The front has the full grille guard and has a matching rear. They are both ready for options to be added. I'm looking for any and all feedback. Thanks!

Looks good and solid- but also like a little too much extra weight to carry on the front of an already nose-heavy 2wd. How much does the basic bumper weigh and what's the weight of the full grill guard?

That is a terrific idea. It would weigh the same, but be much nicer to ship, and considerably less expensive. The hardest part for most would be getting the angles perfect like in the jigs used at the regular shop.
To Backwoods : Are you guys modeling these at all or just going for it with cardboard templates on the development work? They look great either way.

On this particular set, many of them are welded. However, that's because this is the prototype and we build the prototype one-piece-at-a-time! The rest are broke with as few weld seams as possible.
I didn't weigh one yet, but the front base (non-winch) seems to be about 100-125#. The winch option would add about 30#
Exactly. The pieces alone wouldn't really get a very good fitment without the jigs we use. It would probably look good on the welding bench, but not great on the truck. However, with this fairly simple design, we could probably sell a kit, but it would need to be assembled on the truck. We use cardboard/foam-core in combination with my brain/imagination (for better or worse!) to model the prototype. Then we can enter the data into the form of a cut file. We still do most of our work by hand though. I have some great fabricators working here. At some point, we'll move to more CNC stuff, but we really like the hands-on aspect of custom work. Not to mention, many customers have different requests which require a lot of human judgement.
Great! definitely send some pictures my way!
