Lookin great Luke.
Most of the motor mounts I have seen they are using the Dodge isolators from the First Gen Cummin's. With the ones you are using incorporate the GM mounts. I feel with this you can urethane after factory mounts. Care to indulge who you got them from? Looking forward to see more information from you on this. Oh, by the way, did you use the GM rad with the second gen intercooler or the rad and intercooler from the second gen? Thanks, Glenn

hey glenn, I got the mounts from "crewcab59" scott @ Tennesse Diesel conversions. very bolt in. no body lift no frame notching.
I used the rad and intercooler out of the '95 the rad is so much bigger than the GM one I just had to use it. and fits around the intercooler perfectly obviously. it is a tight fit with the CAC between the headlights. had to cut alot of the rad support out to fit. and have to reinforce whats left. there is some lean to the rad and CAC but the stock GM rad clamps still work. the rad will not come out the front without removing the headlights. or pull the rad and CAC as a pair out the back. ![]() ![]() |

Hey Luke,
I just stumbled across this thread and had to read the whole thing. Quite the ambitious project, and it looks like you did great. It didn't sound like you had any huge problems that took forever to get around. Anyway, congrats. You are probably almost ready to start driving it soon and I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of it all together. Are you planning to do the paint right away, or wait a while? Dave

Paint, not right away. going to wait until at least winter is well over. Cross member? my truck is a 4wd. theres a diff under there thats bolted to the framerails. the sump will always be a rear sump though. and it is behind and below the diff area. but not lower than the lowest point if that what you're after. |

WOW, that is a real bad case of OCD.
You are going to confuse a lot of people when that truck is finished. Ford chassis with a Chevy cab and a Dodge engine/tranny. ![]() Nice job! |
