10 Years on DTR!
Hard to believe! Things have changed a lot, back then Larry and the mods ruled with an iron fist (even saying Edit wasn't allowed!), Pastor Bob was still alive and skunk working, Dave was "Faith"less, and I didn't know about 1st gen trucks!
I continue to learn from, and lean on your guys and have been the better for knowing you all!
Blessings,
Mark Huppertz

That's pretty cool. I bet you remember a bunch of funny stuff that happened.

Oh man, do I. There used to be a Tuesday night live chat function and a bunch of us would get on there and laugh our ***** off!

Don't forget Monty, our intrepid moderator back in the day. And that all 12 valvers were in the same forum . . .
Glad to hear you are dusting off the truck again -- it is pretty hard to leave the reliability & simplicity of these trucks behind, eh?
Here's to another ten years!

Cheers to you, M. Huppertz.
I met a bunch of the guys including Pastor Bob, Stomp, et al at the Piers Diesel Research 1st Gen day Summer of 2005.
These trucks are timeless.

I have been here 10 years as of June 2014. I wish we got a little emblem on our avatar for 10 or 15 years like the Corvette forum does. It's not a big deal, but it does make you feel like you have been around awhile.

If I read you right, a very personal decision. by a prominent member of this forum, which could have been kept a secret, changed the forum? If I am not reading you right I apologize. What I have noticed in the 5 years that I have been here, is that many of the moderators that used to post a lot, rarely post anymore. Life is a female dog and things change, people die, people move on, people sell their trucks and heavy nitrogenous waste material happens. I am the only one that I know, besides people on this forum, that has a first gen. So, if I stroke out tomorrow and become incapacitated, I would just disappear from the forum, which I am sure would please a few of you ...Mark
