This will be interesting to see numbers roll in on this, while these trucks have cleaner emissions I suspect they will have slightly lower fuel economy. I've seen a couple people on here already claiming lower mpg but we probly won't have the full picture until more trucks are out there and broke in.

Especially since we're on winter fuel and ULSD, both of which lower fuel economy. It will be most interesting to see these figures this summer when the refiners have gone back to straight #2 ULSD.

Agree.
I lost 2 to 3 mpg trading my 04' for the 06'. If that trend is consistent with increased hp and torque, I'd be down to about 12 to 13 mpg with an 07'. I sure hope I'm wrong about that.
Makes you wonder if the power increases are really worth it. With the 06' I've never been close to coming up short.

Just got back from a run to Mississippi today. The mileage going up there carrying a 10,800 lb scrubber, 4 ft in dia. with a lot of pipes sticking out everywhere on my trailer, which weighs 7,600 lbs and got 9.8 mpg going up there, 550 miles. Coming back I averaged 12.3 mpg. The mileage is coming up as I get broke in. Mileage on the truck is now 18,706.

My first tank was 12.4mpg. During that tank I hauled a 5 round bale hay hauler with bales about 150 miles. It probably weighs 8,000lbs with hay. Also delivered two tons of cattle cubes twice for about 60 miles. The rest were unloaded miles.
